Rihanna's father, Robyn Fenty, may have given a scathing in-depth interview about his daughter's relationship with Chris Brown, however, new reports suggest that it isn't stopping the "Loyal" singer from trying to reconnect with his former love.
International business Times reports that a source close to the "Diamonds" songstress reveals that Brown has been trying to win her heart back over since splitting from longtime girlfriend Karrueche Tran in a harsh exchange of words earlier this month.
"He has been trying but will it work this time around? I highly doubt it," a source confirms of Brown's attempts to send flirty texts to the songstress.
"Rihanna has moved on from all that drama Chris bring along with him, she is in a much better place now both personally and with her career. So she is not going to entertain his vibe again," another source confirmed.
Brown split from Tran earlier this month after publicly dissing her on Instagram by accusing the model of cheating on him with rapper Drake, who ironically enough also briefly dated Rihanna.
Yesterday, it was revealed that the "Where Have You Been" singer's father dished on the couple's last encounter, which occurred during a charity basketball game in August. Rather than commenting on what fans expected to be a romance-sparking reunion between the duo turned out to be Rihanna giving Brown the cold shoulder.
Fenty described the encounter as nothing more than a brief exchange of "hellos," adding that his daughter made a point to cut off her conversation with Brown to talk with someone else.
"Chris is a player," Fenty added of the "Loyal" singer, noting that his daughter has moved on from her relationship with the singer/dancer.
