Yahoo Celebrity UK and Sugarscape both tweeted on Dec. 28 that Niall was quitting the band, which forced fans into a frenzy. Unfortunately, they were the victims of a cruel hack. The meanest hack for 1D fans!
The hashtag #ReasonsNiallLeftOneDirection became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter. Sugarscape soon tweeted the reason behind the scary tweet.
“Just to confirm, Niall is NOT leaving One Direction. We were hacked, innit. #reasonsniallleftonedirection", sugar scapes tweet read.
Yahoo Celebrity UK, which tweeted the rumor just one minute after Sugarscape, also let their followers know what was up.
“Morning everyone. Just so you know, Niall Horan isn’t in fact leaving 1D, our account was hacked last night. We repeat, Niall isn’t leaving,” they tweeted .
One Direction just wouldn’t have been the same without Niall. We can’t imagine the band going On if one of the boys left
