Patrice Evra scored his first goal for Juventus but their 25-match winning run at home in Serie A was ended by Sampdoria.
Left-back Evra, a summer signing from Manchester United, put the league leaders ahead when he headed home Claudio Marchisio’s corner.
But substituteManolo Gabbiadini, who is co-owned by Juve, levelled with a curling effort from 18 yards.
Gabbiadini almost scored a late winner but Gianluigi Buffon kept out his shot.
The draw – Juventus’s second in a row – put the champions temporarily four points clear of second-placed Roma, who were away to Genoa later on Sunday, reports the BBC.
